Political Action Committee (PAC)

It is critical that the Louisiana Legislature and Congress understand your needs and your business. A strong PIAPAC is necessary for independent insurance agents to be heard on in Baton Rouge and on Capitol Hill.

The Professional Insurance Agents Political Action Committee (PIAPAC) helps makes the case for PIA National’s member agents in Washington, DC, just as PIA of Louisiana’s PAC supports the interest of independent agent members.

Countless associations on both sides of the big issues that face independent insurance agents bring their arguments to Louisiana legislators and members of Congress. PIAPAC supports candidates for federal, state and local office and elected officials who support the independent insurance agency system.

The Political Process Matters

Contributions to PIAPAC enable PIA National to support members of Congress and PIA of Louisiana to support Louisiana legislators who are pro-business and pro-independent agents. Advocacy is about educating policymakers on the issues. Before voting or taking a position on legislation, members of the Louisiana Legislature Congress need to hear the position of PIA and our independent agents.

Building and maintaining relationships is an essential part of these advocacy efforts. Understanding the independent insurance agency system is the first step to supporting and expanding our industry. Staying silent on the issues important to independent agents is not an option.

 

The PIA of Louisiana PAC

Your contribution to the PIAPAC will help to guarantee a positive political and regulatory environment for independent insurance agencies to grow, prospect and use their expertise to protect the Louisiana insurance consumer’s financial assets.

 

All funds donated to PIA PAC must come from personal funds as donations from business funds are not allowed by law.
